Now that I’m back from editing cheerleader pics I gotta clear my head and finish my story. Turns out I’m writing a novel. I say this because recently I found a clip on word counts. My story started as a novella because it was under 50,000 words. Now, after I finished my creative writing course and have undertaken editing and re-writing my story, it might become a novel. Presently it’s over 25,000 words. Now I’m adding descriptions, conversations, and a few other things to give it life and help with its flow. So this may be my first novel.
I wasn’t sure I was ready for a novel. The idea, for me at least, of a novel was an epic journey through life and/or travels, ranging through timelines, characters, and locations. I didn’t feel I was worthy of writing one, I guess because it’s something you would expect of greater writers than I. I mean, novels are stories that span the world, both in sales and attention, right? Not anyone can write one because there’s so much that goes into it. At least that’s how I feel. I could be wrong, it’s happened before.
Anyway, I need to finish this daunting task. I don’t know where it’s taking me, but I’ll hope for the best. Hey, maybe I’ll become famous for my first novel! Funny, right? No? Okay, I’m coming back down to earth now.
