Hi folks

I’ve got a story, two actually, that I’m trying to time with Halloween. I’m not sure if I can, and after stressing about it and some car repairs, I have nothing ready for today. Woe is me, how sad it is to not have a story ready. I hope the deep sorrow I feel doesn’t translate to you, my loyal readers.

I shall endeavor to make my deadlines, and also to create fantasies that are rich and filling. I also wish to instill a bit of dread. My last little sojourn, Tales from the Zombie Apocalypse, had a happy ending. In fact, the entire series has them, except for one, poor guy. Now is the time for bad endings, terrible plights to render the soul with misgivings, and make you afraid of the dark. I’ve been reading some Edgar Alan Poe, and he gives me a chill with his cold landscapes and foreboding characters. It makes the coming season seem more alive, with death as the comparison, or the mirror. In fact, I find Poe to be more gloomy, more saddened and more real than Lovecraft (my apologies: while he does tell a fine horror laden tale, if he mentions cyclopian entities one more time I’m going to burst).

Next week begins another tale, one full of dread. One that will end with the coming season, or cause another tale of dread to begin. whatever happens, I will hope for the best for you, if this is too disturbing perhaps you should look away, find another outlet for your weekly fancies. However, if you find yourself drawn into this world I created, then rest assured it won’t last. It can only take you as far as you want to go, then you can return to your regular life full of the predictable occurrences that plunder our concious existence.
