I forgot I have a blog to keep up with. I’m presently focusing on a photo project, too focused. But tomorrow’s the big day! I’ve got a lot of work to do and I only have the day. For context, it’s a nude shoot. Now you would think how hard can that be? It’s hard.Continue reading “Crap!!!”

So I’ve had this task to do.
Which is to write a passage that leaves you hanging at the end, and then to re-write the ending into a bigger cliffhanger. And here it is. What do you think? Ready? Sheila cried out. “There isn’t time, we need to go now!” Barry was still on the phone talking to the head of theContinue reading “So I’ve had this task to do.”
“Captain, I think we’re done here.”
The Captain looked over the bow and couldn’t help but agree. “Sound the alarm. Abandon ship!” The First Mate sounded the alarm. Through the fire and the smoke it wasn’t clear how many men were left alive. This battle took so much from him.
I didn’t want to go to a graveyard for a picnic,
…but my boyfriend Jake insisted. He said it would be great, and if any spooks showed up he would beat them to within an inch of their lives. I rolled my eyes at that, and asked if he was just trying to get laid. “Naw, baby. It’ll be great. Look Val, there’ll be a fullContinue reading “I didn’t want to go to a graveyard for a picnic,”
We went to the bar…
We went to the bar because why not? We were looking to be inconspicuous, but a few rounds blew that out the window. We tried to hide, but trouble kicked in the door, all 6’6” of him. We made a promise that day: never again try to cheat the wrong person.

You become aware of your surroundings, the blanket on top of you, the sheets beneath you, the air around you. The light coming through theContinue reading “Mornings are the worse.”
Georgie, Bradley, Todd and Wally hid behind the store, waiting for impetus.
“Look Georgie” said Bradley. “You go in and we’ll follow you. Go back to the fridge and grab a couple of 40’s. We’ll distract the guy at the counter. We’ve done this so many times, why are you being a bitch about this now?” “Dude, don’t call me a bitch.” “Then do it” said Wally.Continue reading “Georgie, Bradley, Todd and Wally hid behind the store, waiting for impetus.”
a quickie
The evening waned in colors only the sky could make. The sun, low enough to light the undersides of clouds, hovered just over the horizon. Reds and blues and golds streaked everywhere, making the scene look like a watercolor abstraction. My wife and I sat on the porch and marveled.
pumpkin spice
Teddy entered the cafe and grimaced. He didn’t like pumpkin spice, and here it was on full display. From the pumpkin-spiced lattes to the pumpkin-spiced doughnuts. He stepped to the counter and ordered green tea. It was then that he noticed his co-worker had beaten him there. Charles saw him and waved him over. TeddyContinue reading “pumpkin spice”
